Virtual Cross-Cultural Exchange Facilitator
Are you a globally-minded educator with an interest in social, emotional and cultural learning? Know My World is seeking qualified global educators to work with us in facilitating dynamic digital cross-cultural exchange experiences for classrooms around the world. This unique and impactful position requires a passion for quality education, intercultural communication, project management, educational technology and relationship building. This is a great opportunity to gain international and cross-cultural experience while supplementing your income. Prospective Educational Facilitators will be required to undergo training and shadowing sessions before moving into the position.
Know My World is a global education resource for teachers and students to promote social, emotional and cultural competency through digital cross-cultural exchange experiences and project-based programs. Founded in 2012 by two international educators, Know My World began as a grassroots organization, connecting teachers all over the world in shared learning experiences through customized project planning. Today, Know My World is transitioning into a hybrid social model to ensure teachers and students receive optimal support in bringing new technology and cross-cultural learning relationships into the classroom. With a team of collaborators and consultants from around the globe, Know My World functions as a truly international organization. Over the past ten years we have worked with schools in over 30 countries. As an Educational Facilitator, you would be an integral part of the Know My World team, working to support and coach teachers in our unique process of facilitation so they are able to provide effective academic, social, emotional and cultural experiences within their classrooms.
Job Title: Educational Facilitator – Part-Time

Education: A minimum bachelor’s degree is required. Experience in education or a related field is strongly desirable.
Experience: Classroom or related experience working with educational programs. Experience working or living abroad is desirable.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English is required
- Openness and curiosity regarding various cultures
- Self-motivated with multi-tasking abilities
- Flexible schedule
- High level of commitment and dependability
- Technologically savvy
- Ability to attend weekly staff meetings and teacher meetings as needed via video conference within various cultural contexts and time zones
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
- Certified educator
- Multicultural education experience
- Primary language English, bilingual is a plus.
Training:
Know My World will provide facilitation training to all new team members. This training will focus on topics related to social and emotional learning, intercultural communication, and practical skills, and in-house technology used for effectively managing exchanges and supporting teachers in project development.
Training will be hosted by the Know My World Educational Manager. Dates will be scheduled according to all participant’s availability. Training will be one 4-hour session or two 2 hour sessions within the same week.
Trainees will then facilitate an exchange in tandem with the Educational Manager or another staff member. Training exchanges will be limited to no more than 4 weeks and will take place only with past participants. At the end of each session, trainees will be hired as part or full-time Educational Facilitators.
Payment: Payments will be made according to project stipends. The range of stipends is between $75-$200 USD depending on the duration of each exchange and the amount of support provided.
