Wizer.me: Blending Worksheets. Together.

Being an educator in today’s society, we want the best applications for our classrooms. Teachers will take a lot of time from their already busy schedules to look for applications that are user-friendly and intriguing for their students (if the students are asked to use the application). Teachers also look for applications that they can use to exchange ideas, lessons, and create projects in collaboration with their colleagues. As an Instructional Technologist, I have done some research in online applications that can benefit teachers and their students. One of the applications that fits this criteria is Wizer.me.
Wizer.me is an online worksheet generator for teachers. They can go on to their application and make any type of worksheet on any given subject. When teachers have completed the worksheets, they can send them directly to their students or share them on the application for other teachers to use. For example, if a teacher decided to generate a worksheet for math in adding fractions, they can save the worksheet to their profile, send the worksheet directly to students and share what they made for other teachers to use. This saves teachers time and gives them the chance to help others. I was so intrigued by this application, I began integrating it into my own teaching practice. I enjoy how user-friendly it is and how I can search through their topics/subjects easily to find what I want. I can even tweak their pre-made worksheets to meet the unique needs of my students. If I can’t find exactly what I am looking for, I can also be creative and make my own worksheets to share with the world.
Not only is Wizer.me wonderful for saving teachers’ time, it also provides a platform for collaboration 
on a local or global scale. If teachers decide to do a collaborative project, Wizer.me is there to help. The capacity for global collaboration has made Wizer.me a wonderful application for our participants at Know My World. We have participants from all over the world generating worksheets together because of this application.
