The Know My World™ e-learning professional development program is for K-12 educators who would like to better understand how to implement a strategic framework for global competencies within their classroom, while fostering an ability within their students to interact with the world from a place of empathy and awareness. 

We believe that people learn these concepts most effectively when focusing on 3 facets: Self-awareness, relationship to others, and global understanding. These 3 aspects allow for deeper connections to the issues occurring around the world, and empower people to create caring communities focused on social change. However, without a personal understanding of how to develop empathy and social awareness within yourself, these vital skills are left underdeveloped within your students.  There is a necessary trajectory for global change, which starts with the self, then leads to the community, and ends in global impact. These steps are necessary for meaningful connections to be made to the purpose of global change.
