Culture through photographs: Canada, Mexico and England

  • Post author:

High school students from Canada, Mexico and England* united to share their culture through photography and written ancestral history.  Using Google+ Community, students uploaded photographs and links to personal blogs, depicting various snapshots they took representing pieces of their lives. Students were able to comment on each others contributions and ask clarifying questions.

The two lead professors from Canada and Mexico, set the stage for students by providing guidelines for critical thinking and analysis. Students from Canada focused on artistic technique while all participants researched and wrote entries about their culture.  From the Objiway Culture to the Day of The Dead, students were able to learn about the deep roots that inspire people and make our world so rich with diversity.

*England contributed to this project by collecting video entries about culture from various participants around the world.
