First Grade, First Steps – Clive, Taiwan

The first time I stepped outside of my comfort zone was when I was in first grade.  I had to leave my old school.  I felt sad because all of my friends were there.  My mom brought me a year book to help me remember my friends.  Then my mom and I flew back to Taiwan on the airplane.  The next month I went to a new school.  The first day of school I felt happy and a little nervous about making new friends.  At lunch that day my classmate James sat in front of me and started talking to me.  He was very funny and we became best friends. Now I am no longer nervous about coming to school!
